Projects are evaluated on their use of renewable resources, energy efficiency, and overall environmental impact, reflecting the growing urgency of climate-conscious design.

2. Health & Wellbeing

This category celebrates architecture that promotes human health and wellness. Projects are assessed on their ability to enhance indoor environmental quality, access to natural light, biophilic design elements, and features that support both physical and mental health. The category acknowledges the profound connection between built environments and human wellbeing.

3. Cultural Heritage & Contextual Design

Honoring projects that demonstrate sensitivity to their cultural context, this category recognizes architecture that respects and revitalizes local traditions, materials, and building techniques. Special consideration is given to restoration, preservation, and adaptive reuse projects that breathe new life into historic structures.

4. Innovation & Technology

Celebrating cutting-edge approaches to architecture, this category recognizes projects that push boundaries through technological advancement. Entries are evaluated on their use of innovative materials, digital fabrication techniques, smart building systems, and novel construction methodologies.

5. Social Impact & Community Engagement

This category honors projects that demonstrate a commitment to social progress and community development. Eligible projects may include affordable housing, community centers, educational facilities, and public spaces that foster social cohesion and address pressing societal needs.

6. Design Excellence & Aesthetic Achievement

At the heart of the awards, this category recognizes projects that achieve outstanding design quality. Entries are judged on their formal resolution, spatial richness, material expression, and overall architectural artistry—works that inspire and stand as benchmarks of design excellence.

7. Urban Design & Public Space

Recognizing projects that contribute to the public realm, this category honors urban design initiatives, landscape architecture, and public space interventions. Projects are evaluated on their ability to create vibrant, inclusive, and functional public environments that enhance urban life.

8. Interior Architecture & Spatial Experience

This category celebrates excellence in interior design and spatial organization. Projects are assessed on their ability to create compelling interior environments, thoughtful material palettes, and spatial experiences that enhance functionality and human experience.

9. Heritage & Conservation

Dedicated to projects that preserve, restore, or adapt historic structures, this category recognizes sensitive interventions that extend the life of significant buildings while maintaining their cultural and historical integrity.

10. Residential Architecture

Honoring excellence in housing design, this category encompasses single-family homes, multi-family residential projects, and innovative housing typologies. Entries are evaluated on their livability, spatial quality, and contribution to residential design discourse. 

Submission Requirements

To ensure a comprehensive and fair assessment, all submissions must include the following materials:

A. Project Description
A detailed narrative (maximum 1,000 words) describing the project's concept, design approach, and key features. The description should articulate how the project addresses the specific category criteria and demonstrate its significance within the global context. All submissions must be in English, the official language of the awards.

B. Architectural Drawings

· Site plan

· Floor plans

· Elevations (minimum two)

· Sections (minimum two)

· Key details demonstrating technical resolution
All drawings should be submitted in PDF format with clear labeling.

C. Photographic Documentation

· Minimum 10 high-resolution images (300 DPI) of the completed project

· Images should include exterior and interior views

· Detail photographs showcasing materiality and craftsmanship

· Context images showing the building in its environment

D. Supplementary Materials

· Project video (maximum 3 minutes) illustrating the building's spatial qualities

· Material boards or specification details (optional but encouraged)

· User response or community feedback documentation

E. Entrant Information

· Completed entry form with full contact details

· Proof of architectural registration or professional affiliation

· Declaration of project completion (projects must have been completed within the last five years)

· Signed copyright authorization allowing ArAsia to publish and display submitted materials

Submission Procedure

Step 1: Registration
Prospective entrants must register their intent to submit via the ArAsia Awards email—please refer to the contact details provided at the end of this document. The program accepts submissions on a rolling basis throughout the year, with no fixed deadline.

Step 2: Entry Preparation
Entrants prepare submission materials in accordance with the requirements outlined above. All materials must be compiled into a single PDF document (maximum 50 pages) with accompanying high-resolution image files and video content.

Step 3: Submission
Complete submissions must be uploaded to the ArAsia submission portal. As there is no fixed deadline, submissions are accepted year-round. Please allow sufficient time for document preparation to ensure a complete and high-quality entry.

Step 4: Review & Evaluation
The ArAsia Awards Committee conducts a thorough review of all submissions. Each entry is evaluated by an independent jury of distinguished architects, academics, and design professionals from around the world, who assess projects based on their category-specific criteria.

Step 5: Results Notification
All applicants will receive their results within 2 months of submission. Successful entrants will be notified directly with details regarding their award recognition.

Step 6: Award Presentation
Winners receive official awards and certificates, with special recognition given to projects that achieve the highest level of excellence in each category. Select winning projects may be featured in ArAsia publications and on the organization's platforms.

The ArAsia Architecture & Art Awards operate on a rolling submission model:

· No fixed application deadline – submissions are accepted throughout the year

· Review period: Each submission is reviewed within 2 months of receipt

· Notification: Results are communicated to all applicants within 2 months of submission

Eligibility Criteria

The ArAsia Architecture & Art Awards are open to:

· Registered architects and architectural firms from any country worldwide

· Architectural firms and designers practicing in any region of the world

· Architectural projects, interior projects, and urban design initiatives located anywhere in the world

· Projects that have been completed within the last five years prior to the date of submission
